The project is to show how the river has nourished both the natural landscape and the human landscape, from the gold rush era to the present day, depicting how it has evolved over time and highlighting the environmental impact of human activity on nature. The narrative connects gold rush history, dramatic landscapes, and their relevance to the present. In capturing this story, I set out to convey the river’s energy, serenity, and interaction with its surroundings, while also exploring its cultural and historical significance. Beyond documenting the river’s beauty, I want the photographs to reveal the deep connection between nature and humanity throughout history.
